Malaysia Fails Introduction

Malaysia Epic Phail

Malaysia is a country consisting of a banana shaped and somewhat papaya shape territories.

The banana found independence on 31st August 1957 and the papaya gained its independence on 16
th September 1963. To learn more of these fruits history, please visit Wikipedia .

We are one of the only ( probably only ) countries around the world who rotate their Kings ( namely Sultan ).

We have lots of oil.

Now, how can a country so rich with oil and land like Malaysia lose out to Singapore. If I answer this question, I will be spending nights in jail under
Malaysias ISA law

A prime example of
Malaysias failure has to be Proton

Now proton was established in 1985. It released Proton
Wira on 1993. Interesting eh.

The Asean Free Trade Area was made in 1992
Assuming you all are lazy to read the articles, let me explain to you.
This allows all
ASEAN countries to trade items between each other easily, with low or none taxes and requiring little permits ( process of importing and exporting easier ).

Ah, now our Malaysia Epic
Phail™ , as the pioneer in the car making industry, creating Proton, should capitalise on this new law to monopolise the car industry around the ASEAN countries.

We
phailed. We had a junkyard old proton saga, a ripoff of Mitshibushi made in 1985,

And made yet another ripoff recently with the new proton saga.
All our cars are based on other cars (
eg. buy old technologies are rebrand them into, OMG PROTON HAS NEW CARRRR ).

We have so much money from oil, yet Proton hired clowns and we haven't even managed to make a car ourselves. How sad.

We even bought lotus, and yet our cars look like toads on the road.

While a user decided to post about how his new Proton
Exora phailed !

Comment 1 by disgruntled Proton Exora owner

" Got my Exora last Saturday, drove to JB then Desaru stopped by Kota Tinggi and back to KL yesterday evening. The cars first service is due, thought of making an appointment and sending it tomorrow but at about 3.30 pm just now i was shocked to feel the brake almost impossible to function and there this weird hissing sound as I step on the brake! Couldn't believe it! Luckily I was driving with my my and no kids in the cars and we were going slow! Don't even dare to imagine if the circumstances were different! Very very disappointed, the service center manager called the Proton people, and told me they are send a "CAT" team (whatever that means, Worst still, the so called "CAT" team will only arrive tomorrow morning! It was only about 3.45pm! and the service center is in Puchong! The "cats must be coming from Bangkok! Called the helpline, which was no help at all! Girl on the phone told me they don;t provide relief car! How am going to go to work? I have a life to live instead spending time at the workshop or sittingat home waiting for my 4 days old car to be fixed!
"

Comment 2 by a I-have-been-scammed person

" The proton 1-800xxx numbers are pretty much useless. Here's my family experience.
My family bought a brand new Saga few months ago. Car was unable to start, so I called up the cust care line. Each time, they say 'coming'...and one excuses was 'oh, tadi tukar shift, mungkin supervisor tadi lupa...". And from the 1st call to the x-number of calls, it was more than 3+hrs waiting and calling. Finally, it was already dark, called AAM, within 15-20 mins arrive. Car can start. That's good customer service. ShlT to P1 cust-care. Also, Saga rear left door is not aligned with body. Service center at Puchong says not their problem. Go to another bigger service center. WTF! Whoever, at Proton reading this, can come contact me. Come contact me only if you can fix the door issue above. Don't come give excuses and waste my time, ok. "

Proton on list of cars that nobody wants (UK)

Why does Proton survive ?
Simple, they tax all overseas cars in Malaysia so high, that Proton is the only cheap car.

In addition Proton is led by a bunch of clowns. Instead of improving the car, they changed the logo to look like
Thundercats.

Those "engineers" must had remembered their childhood.
